All the following pictures were taken during a two-week stay in Unik, the capital of Liberated Territories of Kosovo, that is the area 100 per cent controlled by UCK (Ushtria Clirimtare e Kosoves - Kosovo Liberation Army, KLA). The Author was the first ever photojournalist who got there and so this is a first-hand report from inside the heart of the Liberated Territories. For local population, down to 2000 units from ordinary 10000, the only path to outside world is the border with Albania, heavily guarded by Serbian Police and Military. Along several miles of harsh mountain walks, up to 2620 mts above sea level in Deravica, groups of UCK fighters go back and forth to provide weapons and ammunitions to keep resistance alive in Unik and in surrounding villages.
