2011: Trailer for new Afghan show on Tolo TV - The
Many are calling this new show on Tolo TV
the Afghan version of the hit western show, The Office.
The Office was a hit on both British TV and American TV.
The show follows the everyday life of the workers at the
Ministry of Garbage and it is shot in what appears to be a
single-camera setup. The characters address the camera
directly, as if being interviewed - just like The Office.
The show's main character, Dawlat, is a bumbling fool, but
sympathetic, just like The Office's Michael Scott
