Muttaqi was an important Taliban official who held various posts in the past, including minister of Information and Culture. His current whereabouts are unknown. It is said he allegedly moved to Peshawar, Pakistan before the end of 2001 and still “hiding out in the Pakistani frontier” March 19, 2002
