Born on June 1st, 1987, Hamid Hassan is a fast-bowler who plays for the national cricket team of Afghanistan. Hassan picked up cricket after he left high school in 2001, and has had no formal training in the sport. Hassan is a right-handed bowler, and has been recorded as bowling over 145 km/h. He has won quite a few records of leading wicket-taker, and second leading wicket-taker at different international tournaments (even in the first class league). He has helped bring his team to different championships around the world. In 2012, Hassan was bought by Barisal Burners, of the Bangladesh Premier League, for approximately $40,000. Hassan is an important and crucial member of the men’s national cricket team of Afghanistan, and just at the start of his career, looks to have a promising future in the sport.
